UNIFORM
The Cheder uniform fosters a spirit of unity and school pride.
Below please find the outlines for the school uniform requirements.
Cheder uniform are for Grades KG-8th
BOYS DRESS CODE
Shirts:

Light Blue or white collared shirts, polo or oxford.

On Rosh Chodesh and Chassidishe Yomim Tovim, boys should wear button down white shirts.

From Hanochas Teffilin and on: White button down shirts.
Pants:

Long Navy, Black or Charcoal Grey pants.
-
No shorts, sweat pants, jeans, denims, baggy pants, or excessive pockets.
Shoes:

Solid Black or Navy shoes or sneakers.

No light-ups

1 white strip is accepted through 4th grade.
Sweaters & Sweatshirts:

Solid Navy Blue without words or pictures.
Yarmulkas:

Solid Black or Navy.

No knitted, leather Yarmulkas, or secular logos.
Hair:

Chassidishe haircuts (no bangs)
Outerwear, Backpacks and Supplies:

In order to preserve the Chassidishe atmosphere at Cheder and reflect the values of all families, backpacks, lunchboxes, supplies and clothing should not have non-kosher animals, licensed characters, or images that stem from a television show or movie.
GIRLS DRESS CODE
Shirts:

Light blue polo or button down long-sleeved shirts.

On Rosh Chodesh or special days, white button down or polo shirts should be worn.

Skirts:

Navy uniform pleated jumpers or navy uniform pleated skirts that entirely cover the knee when standing and sitting.

Students in KG - 2nd grade are encouraged to wear jumpers.

Grades 3-8 should wear a navy pleated skirt.

Legwear:

Tights only.

No knee socks.

If wearing socks over the tights, the socks must be the same color as the tights.
Sweaters:

Any solid navy sweater without lettering or logos.
Other:

Hair that is longer than shoulder length should be tied back.

No nail polish.

GAN DRESS CODE
Clothing

A hands on and multi-sensory approach is used for learning, messes do occur in the process. Please send easily washable clothing so that your child can fully enjoy his/her day at Cheder.

3 year old Girls should adhere to Tznuis standards. All girls must wear knee socks and have covered elbows and knees at all times.
